Grassroots

SJC believes in growing show jumping from the ground up by supporting grassroots athletes with financial and educational opportunities.

Are you new to jumping? SJC wants to support you!

SJC strongly believes in supporting the grassroots of the industry which are the foundation of our sport. Like a tree that grows deep roots, a strong and thriving base is necessary to support success at the top. By offering funding and educational opportunities to those just starting out, SJC aims to grow interest and enthusiasm in show jumping from the bottom up.

SJC will also allocate funds to programs and competition organizers across the country who are dedicated to promoting growth in the sport by supporting the “Grass Roots.”

Would you like to participate in a jumping clinic? Are you interested in competing at a higher level? Do  you want to attend an equestrian related educational course?  SJC has dedicated $50,000 to supporting grassroots riders who aspire to achieve more. Applications are reviewed by the board of SJC quarterly.

Want to Apply?

SJC defines grassroots competitors as those just starting in the industry, compete under the .9m level, and do not yet have an Equestrian Canada Sport License. Riders between 15 and 30 years of age who have progressed past this level should consider applying for Next Gen funding. Applicants must be a member of SJC.
