Next Gen

SJC supports riders working toward High Performance with financial and educational opportunities.

Are you the Next Gen of show jumping in Canada?  SJC wants to support you!

SJC will dedicate at least $150,000 annually in funding to support Next Gen riders between 15 and 30 years of age competing at or above the 1.10m level who have demonstrated their commitment to the sport of Show Jumping with competition results.

The program, which includes $50,000 in travel assistance to be distributed in 50 $1,000 travel grants throughout the year, aims to support riders who are dedicated to the sport of show jumping and have long terms aspirations of being part of Equestrian Canada’s High Performance program.

SJC will also allocate funds to programs and events designed and hosted by competition organizers across the country dedicated to promoting growth in the sport by supporting the “Next Gen.”

SJC understands that the pursuit of being the best can be financially taxing. The cost of travelling to the best events, training with the top coaches, and attending important clinics can be limiting for some. SJC wants to help those athletes who have the drive to achieve more and the skill to make it happen.

Want to Apply?

Applicants must be members of SJC and are encouraged to demonstrate their need and show consistency in competition over the course of the last two years. Applications will be reviewed quarterly by the board of SJC.
